How to Back Up and Restore Your Website
Learn how to create manual and automated backups of your website, and restore them when needed.
Backups are essential for protecting your website from accidental changes, hacks, or server issues. With Ace Intl Media hosting, you can create and restore backups directly from your control panel.
1. Why Backups Matter

2. Create a Manual Backup (cPanel)
Log in to cPanel.
Go to Files → Backup.
Click Download a Full Website Backup.
Save the file to your computer.
3. Create a Manual Backup (Plesk)
Log in to Plesk.
Go to Websites & Domains → Backup Manager.
Click Back Up → choose Full Backup or Incremental Backup.
Save backup files locally or in remote storage (Google Drive, FTP, etc.).
4. Set Up Automatic Backups
In cPanel: Use the Backup Wizard or your host’s automated system.
In Plesk: Use Scheduled Backup Settings to run backups daily/weekly.
5. Restore a Backup
In cPanel: Go to Files → Backup → choose Restore and upload your backup file.
In Plesk: Go to Backup Manager → Backups → select the backup → click Restore.
6. Best Practices
Keep at least 2–3 recent backups at all times.
Store one backup off-server (e.g., cloud storage).
